'Impossibility and the endless possibilities for staging impossible tasks': After warming up with some fun drama games we'll have a brainstorming session on what an impossible task could be before splitting into groups to devise short performances using your impossible tasks as inspiration. For ages 11-15.

Make your own pin hole camera, experiment with exposures, compose your image and develop your own photo! No experience required, though due to use of chemicals this class is not suitable for under 16s.

A simple, quick and fun form of casting. Bring in a few objects with an interesting texture or design (such as a pendent, a shell, or a key for example) and learn how to use clay to form a mould and plaster to make a positive cast of your objects.
Graham of Open Sussex will be giving a talk that will look at the viable alternatives to proprietary software with regards to creativity within the digital arts: "Free Software is about individual freedom. Something most artist and creative people generally feel strongly about. The use of free software, and by free we are talking about freedom rather than not paying, is as much a political statement as it is social. It's a responsibility."
A technical introduction to Google's free SketchUp programme. SketchUp is a great tool for anyone needing to make 3D models- architects, interior designers, product designers, graphic designers, landscape gardeners, sculptors, carpenters.. anyone! Participants will need to bring their own laptops.

Life drawing is one of the most valuable practices for any artist interested in the human form. Come along and try it out. Whether you're a beginner or seasoned master Jake will be on hand to guide and encourage. Please note this class is not suitable for under 16s.

Come along and indulge in our temporary tea shop offering a gorgeous selection of hand-made cakes. Bring along something to be tie-dyed, and whilst it's drying you can learn to knit whilst nibbling on delicious treats. If you're bringing something to dye, please make sure it is freshly laundered (even if it's new) and that it is made of cotton, to ensure the dye holds. We will have plastic aprons and gloves though it would be a good idea to wear old clothes in case of spillages! Suitable for all ages.

Follow Max as he runs away from home, sets sail across the ocean and becomes king of a mysterious land in Spike Jonze's wonderful adaptation of Maurice Sendak's classic story book. An evening of films and talks from local talents, including Richard Vobes's Bald Explorer, animations by Cyriak, The House that Kevin Built (talk), Street Photography (talk) and Snow Day by Will Whiteman.

A mixed up session of printing and sculpting. First, bring along an item, big or small, to contribute to our still life arrangement. Then you'll learn how to monoprint- a quick, easy printing method that gives great results. This session is all about observation and craft. The next challenge is to totally reconstruct the still life... using just paper! Suitable for all ages.
Recent winner of Worthing Museum and Art Gallery's Open 11 Competition, Michelle Brown, will be teaching an in depth workshop on mixed media painting techniques.
Whilst filming 'Where the Wild Things Are', Spike Jonze's was also filming this revealing documentary about the book's author. In 'Tell Them Anything You Want' Sendak muses over childhood, fame and death, giving insights into what inspired, as he puts it, "some very good books". Running time: 39 minutes.
